Year 5 - Heron Class
Welcome to Heron Class!
We have twenty three children in our class and our teachers are Mrs Morris and Mrs Daniels.

Mrs Daniels teaches on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and Mrs Morris teaches on Thursdays and Fridays. We are looking forward to working together this year to teach your children.

Year Five are also lucky to have Mrs Weddepohl working in the classroom at various points throughout the week supporting the delivery of the curriculum.

Summer 2024

Unbelievably, we have already reached the summer term. This is always a special term in school with Move-Up morning, Sports Day and the final Rocksteady concert of the year. In addition in Year 5, we are lucky enough to experience Bikeability Week and Play Leader training in preparation for our time next year in Year 6.

Our topic for this term is ‘What a Wonderful World…’ This is primarily a geography topic where we explore North America and the world’s biomes. In Science, we will be investigating reversible and irreversible change and exploring forces (building on our learning from previous years) and in R.E., our focus is Hinduism.
